The sports hall in the small village of Stopiče proves that architecture is at least as much fieldwork as intellectual work in a studio. A studio is a space for ideas and enthusiasm, the field is a space for reality. Facing elements in space which will be taken up by future building maybe sometimes seems too banal, but nevertheless, in terms of the final product, a real reaction can be helpful in order to make a more immediate relationship of a building to its environment.
